Walter Elias Disney was the creator of many different cartoons, drawings, and movies which inspired and entertained many people during the great depression. In the 1920s and 30s he put smiles on everyone. Disney, along with his staff, had recieved more than 950 honors and citations from every country in the world including 48 Academy Awards and 7 Emmys.
At 7 years old he sold his drawings to his neighbors. And when he was 16 years old Disney attemped to enlist in the millitary service but failed because he was so young.
With $40 in his pocket Walt traveled to California. Along the way, on November 18, he thought of his first cartoon, Mickey Mouse! Mickey became Disney's most famous character and is still popular today. When Walter first built his park people were really angry at him because he tore down a lot of work places and people lost jobs.
